GRAHAM CRACKER CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 lg. eggs, add whites later
1 c. milk
25 graham crackers, crushed
1/2 c. cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Cream shortening and sugar well. Add beaten egg yolks. Add the cracker crumbs alternately with the milk. Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt; add to mixture. Mix in nuts and vanilla and lastly fold in the egg whites, beaten stiff. Bake in 2 layer cake pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

MOCKED WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING:

2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk

Cook until thick and then cool. Add:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. powdered sugar, gradually
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat until thick and frost cake.
