SPICY VEGETABLE SOUP 
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 c. sliced onions
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 c. canned crushed tomatoes
1 c. tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
1 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
1 c. thinly sliced green cabbage
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 c. diced potatoes
1 can cut green beans
1 tbsp. parsley flakes

Saute onions, garlic and green pepper in hot oil until soft. Add remaining ingredients, and simmer until all vegetables are tender.
