SPICY VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained

Put meat in Dutch oven and add:

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
2/3 c. water
2 c. shredded cabbage
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dried oregano

Bring all to a boil, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Stir occasionally. Then stir in a 16 oz. package of frozen mixed vegetables and cook for 25 minutes more.
