MARINATED COLESLAW 
1 med. cabbage, cut in sm. strips with knife, not shredded
1 onion, sliced
3/4 c. sugar

MARINADE:

1/2 c. oil
3/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. mustard (prepared is okay)
1 tsp. celery seed

Mix cabbage, onion and 3/4 cup sugar in large container and set aside. (Dutch oven is good, since you'll need a lid.)

Mix marinade ingredients and bring to a rolling boil. Pour this over the cabbage mixture and toss well. Marinate in refrigerator at least eight hours.
