BARBECUED FILLETS
5 slices bacon
1 lb. lean ground beef
Salt
Lemon pepper
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 (2 oz.) can mushroom stems & pieces, drained
1 tbsp. minced onion
2 tbsp. finely chopped green pepper

In a skillet or microwave cook bacon until limp, not crisp. Drain on paper towel. Pat the ground beef on waxed paper into a 12" x 8" x 1/4" rectangle. Sprinkle lightly with salt and lemon pepper. Top with Parmesan cheese.

Combine the mushrooms, onion, and green pepper and sprinkle evenly over the meat. Roll up jelly roll fashion, starting from the long side. Cut into 1 1/2" wide slices. Wrap the edge of each slice with a strip of partially cooked bacon, securing with wooden picks. Freeze with a piece of waxed paper between each patty in a large freezer bag. Makes 5 burgers.

When thawed, grill over medium coals 8 minutes. Turn and grill 8 more minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
