CREAM PUFF FILLING 
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
Powder sugar

Mix sugar, flour and salt well and add 1/2 cup cold milk to make a smooth paste. Scald 1 1/2 cups milk. Pour paste into scalded milk and cook until thick. Pour some of the thicken sauce into egg and stir as you pour. Return from fire and add butter and vanilla. Then put into the pastry shells. Put powder sugar over shell while filling is hot.
