QUICK MIX WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKES
2 cups whole-wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
2 cups milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Stir together dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, and oil. Stir until dry ingredients are moistened (batter may be lumpy). Cook on preheated griddle until bubbles form and edges start to dry. Flip and cook until lightly browned. I like to serve with sliced strawberries and bananas, drizzled with honey.

I used skim milk, Egg Beaters, olive oil, 1 ripe banana, cinnamon, and a dash of powdered sugar; served with real maple syrup, turkey sausage, an orange, and green tea. Best breakfast ever! Thanks!!!

This is the best pancake recipe! Just a few common ingredients, no sugar, no buttermilk or multiple types of flour, so easy and flexible! I use Trader Joe's finely ground whole wheat flour. Often substitute soy milk or almond milk for the milk. Can be dressed up with mashed banana or canned pumpkin, vanilla extract, cinnamon, chopped nuts, etc.

Excellent, but next time I want to try adding some bran or fruit.

Made these for breakfast, added some vanilla extract and they came out wonderful! The texture reminded me of protein pancakes I make, but they were much easier to flip. Lovely! :)

Excellent, simple recipe. I omitted the salt and used buttermilk instead of regular milk. We topped the pancakes with spiced pear preserves (we're on a canning kick here) and a touch of maple syrup. Awesome! I'm not a pancake girl (although my three boys love them) and I ate three!

Thanks for sharing!

This was my first time ever making whole wheat cakes and the recipe was GREAT!! I did add a little extra ingredients to give it more flavor like cinnamon and vanila extract in the batter, then I drizzled honey while it was hot and some light whipped cream to top it off yum!! Also to cut your serving size to one I used a third of everything except the egg which was one instead of two

These didn't turn out very well for me. The pancakes were thick but dense, almost rubbery. They also had a weird after-taste...I use whole wheat flour in a lot of baking, so I know the whole wheat can give it a bitter taste, but this was different. The search for the perfect whole wheat pancake continues...

I was surprised that such a simple recipe turned out such good results. I'll cut the salt way down next time but this is my new go-to recipe for pancakes. Thanks!

So easy. So good. It is a dense mix, but whole wheat mixes usually are. I will never buy premixed whole wheat pancake mix again. Just add blueberries...

Thank you... I need to eat more whole wheat foods. I searched the most common places but, yours is by far , the least complicated. I turn-up my nose when foods are way too busy for me... Thank you again..

1 tbsp of wheat germ
and substitute milk with unsweetened vanilla almond milk
