1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat until light and fluffy the butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Add the dry ingredients.

Spread batter in a 10 x 15-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, spread at once 1/2 lb. sweet chocolate. Sprinkle on 1 C. chopped nuts.

Cut bars while warm.

Makes 56 bars.

For the chocolate I put 6 Hershey bars on while bars are warm and it spreads easily or melt 2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips.
