FUDGE FILLED PEANUT BUTTER BARS 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. butter (melted)

FILLING:

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 1/2 c. (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. coconut pecan or coconut almond frosting mix

In a large bowl combine cake mix, peanut butter and eggs. By hand, stir until dough holds together. Press 2/3 of dough into bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Crumble reserved dough over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Filling: In saucepan combine chocolate chips, milk and butter. Melt over low heat. Stir until smooth then add the frosting mix.

I love these FFPBBars but can no longer find packaged Coconut Pecan Frosting Mix. Have been using canned frosting and adding additional coconut and extra pecans to make filling thicker so that it doesn't run.

Yes, the recipe my family had called for a Jiffy frosting mix, which isn't sold any more. For years we've just used a homemade mocha frosting instead as the entire filling, but we make the frosting a bit thicker than usual.

As a child, my mother used to make these. We found this recipe to be the closest to it, however we are unable to find the dry frosting mix as well. We always add about a third of a cup of flour to the filling in order to thicken it up.
