CHERRY NUT SLICE 
BASE:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
4 oz. butter

Sift flour and sugar together, cut in butter. Press into a 9 x 9 inch baking pan.

TOPPING:

1 c. coconut
1 c. Maraschino cherries, chopped
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Combine all topping ingredients and spread over base. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
