CHERRY PECAN SLICES 
1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. candied cherries

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour. Add cherries and pecans. Cover tightly and chill 3 hours or mold into a roll. Refrigerate overnight, Slice 1/4 inch thick and put on cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
