GRAPE NUT BREAD 
4 c. sifted flour (white or wheat)
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Grape Nuts (cereal)
1 beaten egg
1 3/4 c. milk

Put first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Add beaten egg and milk. Mix and put in a greased baking pan; set in a warm place. Let rise for 20 minutes. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 hour. Test for doneness with a toothpick. Serves 8. Great toasted with butter and jam.
