FRESH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. chopped raw apples
1 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. black walnuts
1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Peel apples and chop; set aside. Pour oil in large mixing box. Add sugar and eggs and beat well. Sift flour with salt, soda and baking powder. Gradually add flour to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Gently fold in apples. Grease 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour in batter.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until done.
