GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 c. oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 can Comstock unseasoned sliced apples, undrained, or 4 c. sliced peeled fresh apples
1 c. lg. walnut pieces

Beat the eggs and oil until foamy. Fold and stir the apples and walnut pieces into the batter, which will be thick. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

ICING:

1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 sm. or 1 lg. pkg. cream cheese
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. powdered sugar

Mix above ingredients. Beat until creamy. Use as icing for the German Apple Cake above.
