SALISBURY STEAK | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped finely 1/2 green pepper, chopped 2 tbsp. catsup 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1 1/2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms Mix together meat, onion, green pepper, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic salt and 1/2 can tomato sauce. Form into 4 thick patties. Cook slowly in heavy skillet, browning on both sides. Combine remaining can of tomato sauce and undrained mushrooms; simmer 5 minutes longer or until sauce is desired thickness. |
