PAMPERED CHEF SALISBURY STEAK
WITH ONION GRAVY
 
1 egg
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can French onion soup (undiluted)
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. salt
pinch of pepper
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. mustard

Beat egg in large bowl. Stir in 1/3 cup of soup, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Add beef; mix gently. Shape into 6 oval patties. Brown in skillet over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes each side. Remove and set aside. Discard drippings. In same skillet, combine water and flour until smooth; add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and remaining soup; bring to a boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Return patties to skillet. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until done.
