MAMA LUCY'S APPLE CAKE 
5 to 6 peeled, sliced apples (Cortland, Rome or green)
1 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
2 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Beat well. Add flour. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour in batter and spread evenly. Place apples in batter in standing position. Mix 1/2 cup sugar with 1 tablespoon cinnamon and sprinkle over batter. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 1 hour. Remove, let cool and enjoy. Can be served with whipped cream.
