1 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Mix ingredients in order given. Form into balls and roll in white sugar and press flat with a sugared bottom of a glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
