1 German chocolate cake mix

Mix according to directions on box. Pour 1/2 inch greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile - melt together:

8 oz. caramels
1/2 can Eagle Brand milk
1 stick butter

Pour caramel mixture over baked cake. Then pour rest of batter. Sprinkle over top:

1 c. mini chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Bake 25 minutes more.
