1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour applesauce
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts

Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add rest of ingredients. Drop from teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
