1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. applesauce
2 lg. eggs
1 c. shortening
3 c. quick oats
3 1/2 c. white or whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts

2. Mix together first 4 ingredients in large bowl.

2. Add oats and mix well.

3. Sift together dry ingredients and add, mixing well.
