SUGAR FREE APPLE PIE (BILL'S
FAVORITE)
 
8 or more med. or lg. Granny Smith and Green delicious mixed peeled, cored and sliced
2 tbsp.flour
1 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cube butter
3 tsp. "Sweet and Low" bulk sweetener (use standard measure spoon)

Peel, core, slice apples. In large mixing bowl mix apples, flour, lemon juice, sweetener, cinnamon. Place in a 9 inch unbaked pie crust. Slice butter over apples. Dust with more cinnamon if needed. Cover with pie crust. Cut 4 to 6 (1 inch) slits in crust top. I dab a little milk on top. Sprinkle a little Sweet and Low and cinnamon on top of crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Finish at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until pie crust is a light brown on top.

This is actually more of a "reduced sugar" apple pie. Regular pie crust (and this is a double crust recipe) contains quite a bit of carb, not counting the natural sugar from the apples.
