Well, since I can't get my husband to make ribs for me often enough I showed him! I followed your recipe (used a little less salt) and probably should've covered the ribs but they were really tasty! I'll definitely use this recipe again (and even less salt) but thank you so much! I can't wait to try it out again.

This recipe is great. Works well every time, and I use different variations as previously mentioned. I always cover with foil while baking, but not the last half hour with the sauce.

I have used this recipe several times, the family loves them. This time I did 1 part salt to 2 parts sugar, and came out even better, first couple times were good but a little salty. I use Baby Ray's BBQ sauce that stuff is amazing. Quick and easy, Thanks for sharing...

Great recipe, family loved it. We don't get to eat this well that often this day and age and I wanted to thank you for offering such a simple method for the ribs. The only thing I did differently was I sprinkled the salt before I put them in and after the turn. I also used KC Masterpiece BBQ rub and sugar as the rub. I baked the ribs in a hand crafted aluminum foil tray with a couple holes in it on top of a steel grille that fit perfectly over a 9x11 pan with a cup of water in the bottom. Firm, but still juicy. Kids went nuts over it.

Turned out fantastic!

Thanks!

I am baking as I type! I am a Jamaican living in Jamaica. Using our natural seasons is very important to me. I blended escallion (green onions), onions, sweet pepper, loads of garlic, thyme with EVOO, salt and pepper (local scotch bonnet peppers). I marinated my ribs in the mixture overnight. Haven't added any sugar as my husband is diabetic. The barbecue sauce I am using is Kraft Original. Will add some of the mixture used in marinating and to sauce. Heat on stove for about 1/2hr. I am following the timing instructions. In water 1 hr. on each side. Then sauce for 1/2 hr. Will let you guys know how it turns out. Fingers crossed! Smelling real good!

This is my first time cooking my beef ribs without boiling them first but I wanted to try something different. I didn't use salt at all instead I used paprika, garlic powder, CINNAMON and sugar. I wrapped the ribs in foil the entire two an a half hours with an inch of water in the pan. THEY ARE GREAT.

I find it amazing that people access a good recipe and then change it completely. I understand reducing the salt, but why access this recipe if you are going to completely change the instructions? You just don't get the intended recipe.

Saw this recipe and read all the reviews and decided to try J-RIZZLE from Massachusetts version and all I gotta say is OMG!!! These are the best oven made ribs I have ever cooked!!! Never again will I ever make them any other way!!! Seems like the beer really makes a huge difference in tenderizing the meat! And Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory and Brown Sugar BBQ sauce is the best! I used the same ingredients as J-RIZZLE, yet I followed the same baking instructions as listed on the recipe...I will definitely be making this again and again!
