SIMPLE SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. 1" round steak
1 med. onion
1/2 c. flour
1 lg. can tomato juice
2 tbsp. oil

Cut steak into individual servings. Put shortening into skillet and heat. Dip meat in flour and put into skillet to brown. Brown on both sides and then remove from skillet. Put meat into a roasting pan or any covered baking dish. Slice onion and put a slice on top of each piece of meat. Pour tomato juice over meat, use all of the juice. (Makes a good sauce over your meat.) Cook in a slow oven at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Serves 4 to 6.
