PERFECT BEER BATTER | |
2 c. flour 1 tbsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 1/2 c. beer Combine dry ingredients, mix in beer, whisk until smooth. Cover and chill 30 minutes and whisk again. Chill until ready to use. The amount of flour you need will vary. You want a fairly thick batter that will stick to stuff, but not too thick. Use as coating for fish, even smelt and vegetables. Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees. |
