MICHIGAN ROCK COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 lb. dates (cut up)
1 lb. pecans, chopped
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients (spices, flour, soda). Mix well into butter, sugar and eggs mixture. Add dates and pecans.

Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Store in tight container.
