HANKY PANKIES 
1 lb. hot sausage
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 to 3/4 lb. Mexican Velveeta cheese
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 pkg. cocktail size rye bread

Brown meat and drain. Mix in cheese and spices until cheese is melted. Spoon meat mixture on bread and broil just until meat browns. Can be frozen before baking.
