FRIED MASHED POTATOES
3 potatoes, cut strawberry sized chunks
3-5 tablespoons plain yogurt (depending if you want your potatoes to be thicker or fluffier)
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoons seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoons caesar rimmer
1/4 teaspoons paprika

Place potato chunks into 2 cups of water. Add table salt and bring to a boil. Prod potato chunks with a fork to make sure that they are soft. Drain water out of pot once potatoes are soft and mash. Add yogurt and whip with fork until potatoes are fluffy.

Mix in spices in any order and make sure that they are well dispersed.

Heat a frying pan on medium heat and add oil. Dish out potato mixture into frying pan. Fry evenly until potatoes are a light-golden brown.

Make sure to not let potatoes sit idle because they burn fairly easily.

These potatoes are great as a side dish for many meals and are a delicious treat for any occasion.

I forgot about these! We made them as "cakes", frying in oil, but this is a notch up and better tasting! For a quick dinner serve these with smoked sausage and onions sauteed in a pan! Thanks for the recipe!

That sounds REALLY good! I love mashed potatoes and never thought of frying them! I'll definitely try it tomorrow! If it's good I might even use for Thanksgiving! Thanx!
