EASY ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
5 1/2 - 6 c. flour
2 pkg. (or 1 1/2 tbsp.) quick rise yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water
2 c. milk
Cornmeal (for sprinkling on top of loaves)

Mix 3 cups flour and rest of dry ingredients (except cornmeal). Heat liquids to 120 to 130 degrees. Add liquids to dry ingredients and beat. Add enough flour to make a stiff batter. Spoon batter into greased loaf pans and sprinkle cornmeal on top. Let rise for 30 minutes (until double) and bake in preheated oven (400 degrees) for 25 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
