RAISIN ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
This is an easy English muffin style bread that I like to make when I don't have time to make kneaded type bread.

2 pkgs. yeast
6 c. flour
4 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
2 c. raisins

1. Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, salt, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.

2. Heat liquids until very warm. Add to dry mixture; beat well.

3. Stir in rest of the flour to make a stiff batter. Stir in the raisins. 4. Spoon into 2 greased loaf pans.

5. Cover; let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.

6. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

7. Remove from pans immediately and cool on wire racks.
