MOM'S CHILI (1970) 
1 lb. kidney or pinto beans
1 lb. lean hamburger
1 onion
1 qt. canned tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 sm. can tomato paste
2 tbsp. dark molasses
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt

Bring to a boil and simmer beans 2 hours. Brown meat and onion. Add all ingredients to beans and simmer 2 hours. Add water to make proper amount of juice. Do not scorch.
