MOM'S CHILI 
2 lbs. hamburger
1 med. green pepper, chopped
2 lg. onions, chopped
1 sm. can tomato paste
3 sm. cans tomato sauce
1 lg. can cut up tomatoes
3 cans dark red kidney beans
Chili powder to taste
Cumin to taste

Start hamburger browning. Add green pepper and onions and cook until they are clear. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, tomatoes, kidney beans and small amount of water. Add all seasonings. Simmer gently for an hour and a half, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.

NOTE: Tomato juice may be used in place of water and 1 tablespoon dried vegetable flakes will give it a mystery flavor.
