MILKY WAY® CAKE | |
2 1/2 c. plain flour 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 sticks butter 1 1/4 c. buttermilk 1 c. chopped nuts 4 eggs 8 MILKY WAY® bars 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda Melt candy bars with 1 stick butter. Set aside. Cream sugar and stick of butter. Add eggs. Add flour alternating with soda and buttermilk which have been combined. Add melted candy and butter. Add pecans. Bake in a tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or in 3 (8 inch) layer pans at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Ice as follows: ICING: 1 1/2 c. sugar 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. marshmallow creme 1 stick butter 1 c. evaporated milk Combine sugar and milk and cook to soft ball stage. Add chocolate chips, marshmallow creme and butter. Stir until melted. Cool. Frost cake. |
