SCALLOPED PATTIES | |
1 egg 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. sugar 3 tbsp. oil 1/3 c. milk 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 to 2 lb. scallops Mix all ingredients in the batter. Cut up scallops into small pieces and fold then into batter. Fry in electric frying pan at 350 degrees in about half inch deep of oil (or butter, Crisco which I think gives a better flavor). Drop by tablespoons full of scallops and batter mixture. Brown on one side, then turn over to brown on the other side. Drain on paper towel. DELICIOUS! |
