LONG RICE WITH BACON AND
VEGETABLES
 
2 bunches long rice
1/2 c. celery, sliced
1/2 c. carrots, sliced
1/4 c. shoyu
1 tsp. sugar
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
1/2 lb. bacon, cut 1/4" pieces
1/2 c. round onions, sliced
1 stalk green onions, cut in 1" pieces
Salt & pepper to taste
1-2 c. water

Soak long rice in hot water for 20 minutes. Saute bacon, but not too crispy. Brown garlic in bacon; add rest ingredients except long rice. Saute a few minutes more. Add long rice and enough water so it won't be too dry. Cook 10-15 minutes.
