TUNA SALAD SANDWICHES
1/2 loaf of French Bread (toasted)
6 leafs of romaine lettuce
1 large can of chunk tuna (packed in olive oil)
1/4 cup of mayo (I prefer real mayo)
2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
2 bunches of green onion (fine chop)
1 small purple onion (fine dice)
1 celery stalk (fine dice)
1/2 cucumber (seeded, quarted and diced)
10 grape tomatoes (halved)
1 small fine diced Granny Smith Apple
2 hard boiled eggs (chopped)
1 small, jalapeno (seeded, maked sure to remove membrane)
1 sprig of dill
1/8 tsp. of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. of garlic powder, or 1 garlic clove (crushed)
**eggs are optional

Drain and flake tuna and set aside In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients

It is best to leave the cucumber and tomato out of the mixture until you are ready to serve.

Serve between French bread, or open faced.

Someone has lost their minds with this recipe. I have been making Tuna sandwiches for decades and never have I used so many ingredients. Please call this another name. I can think of a few but I am not mad enough to name them here!!!

Valentine... my sentiments exactly! Apple in a tuna sandwich... travesty. And then to say that eggs are "optional", You gotta be kidding me.
