ANISE CAKE 
2 pkgs. Stella Dora Anise Sponge Cookies
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate pudding
1 (6 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding
8 c. milk
1 med. container Cool Whip
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. anise or 1 tsp. rum
Chopped nuts, coconut, cherries (opt.)
2 eggs
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. flour

Line 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan (or a little larger pan) with cookies. Dribble 1/2 cup milk (with 1 teaspoon anise flavoring added to milk) over cookies. Make chocolate pudding. Add to 4 cups milk - 1 egg, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon flour. When thickened, pour over cookies.

Make vanilla pudding. In 4 cups milk add 1 egg, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon flour. When thickened pour on top of chocolate pudding. Refrigerate a few hours. When ready to serve, cover cake with Cool Whip and sprinkle optional ingredients on Cool Whip, if desired.
