CRACKER PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tbsp. plain flour
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. butter
1 or 2 tsp. vanilla
40 plain crackers

Gently heat milk in large saucepan and add butter. In a separate bowl beat eggs, add sugar and flour. Mix well, add to milk. Cook over low heat until mixture coats spoon and just begins to boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Break crackers (do not crush) and add to mixture. Crackers will soak up milk and flavor. Place in refrigerator to cool and then serve. Serves 6 (1 cup servings).
