1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. oil
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl, then mix together the remaining ingredients and blend them with the first mixture. Chill overnight or for several hours. Drop from a teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Press with a sugar coated glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
