1/2 lb. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 egg white

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, cinnamon, egg yolk and vanilla. Roll out 1/4 inch thick on cookie sheet. Put wax paper on top of dough to roll. Spread unbeaten egg white on top. Sprinkle with chopped pecans down in dough. Bake in 350 degree oven about 30 minutes. Check at 25 minutes. Cut into oblong pieces while hot. Cool completely in airtight container. Will keep a long time.
