TEXAS BEEF 
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, broken up
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans
3/4 c. quick cooking rice
3/4 c. water
3 tbsp. chopped green pepper
3/4 c. American cheese

Cook onion and ground beef until done. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Stir twice. Top with cheese, cover and cook until cheese melts, 3 minutes. Sprinkle with crushed corn chips. Serves 6.
