PANIC CAKE 
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (16 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 box yellow or white cake mix
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts
2 sticks butter

Grease tube pan, then spread pineapple in bottom. Cover with pie filling. Shake dry cake mix over this. Distribute nuts over top. Slice butter over nuts. Do not mix or stir. Bake about an hour in 350 degree oven. Serve warm or cold by dipping with a spoon. Serve plain or with ice cream or topping. To shorten cooking time, bake in oblong pan.
