BACON WRAPS 
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) sliced bacon (about 6 slices)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine water chestnuts with soy sauce and sugar in bowl. Mix well and marinate 30 minutes or longer. Cut bacon strips into 2 or 3 pieces, so that a piece will wrap around each chestnut. Secure with toothpick. Place in baking dish with a rack and drizzle some leftover marinade over all. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve hot.
