This recipe helped much this year, when i couldn't find my cook book where my Grandmother wrote her own recipes, such as the Pom Pom balls, in which were similar to these so I changed the recipe just a little to try my best to have them similar to her Pom Pom balls. I have always used chocolate Candi-Quik to coat these. It's available in any grocery store I've ever been in (baking aisle). Easy melt, easy clean up (comes in disposable pan), and tastes great.

I made these years ago from an old church cookbook, I melted chocolate with the paraffin, this year I bought the chocolate bark, but how much do I melt to cover the ball?

Mackenzie, you can buy food grade wax at Wal-Mart. Comes in a box. They keep it in the Candy/Baking section. Doesn't taste like anything.

Love this idea, I am gonna make this with my girls, should be fun. We make Christmas cookies together and this will be another good recipe to share with them. Have made buckeyes and this is about the same as that.
