1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. water
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (10 1/2 oz.) pkg. M & M candy
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. oats (quick cooking)

Mix together; drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until brown.
