2 cans cherry pie filling
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix (reg. size)
1 c. chopped walnuts (more if needed)
1/2 lb. butter
Whipped cream for topping

Pour cherry filling into ungreased 9"x13" cake pan. Sprinkle cake mix over filling, then cover with chopped walnuts. Melt butter and dribble over entire top. Bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes. Recipe can be cut in half.
