Fruit of choice (fresh, canned, or pie mix fruit)

Use enough fruit to generously cover the bottom of a 12 x 8 inch casserole pan. combined with just enough milk to make a spreadable batter 1/2 stick butter, melted 1 sm. carton Cool Whip or whipped cream

Put fruit on bottom of casserole. Spread cake batter over top. Drizzle melted butter over the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when tested. Serve topped with Cool Whip, whipped cream, or even a butter cream icing.

Variation for Thanksgiving (given to Greek Embassy) : 1 can apple pie mix, 1 jar mincemeat, package spice cake mix.
