COFFEE CUSTARD | |
2/3 cup Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 1 1/4 cups hot water 1 cup hot black coffee 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 tsp. salt nutmeg, for sprinkling Mix sweetened condensed milk, hot water, and coffee. Pour gradually over eggs. Add salt, Pour into greased baking dish or custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place in pan filled with hot water to depth of custard. Bake in slow oven (325°F.) about 1 hour or until custard is set. Note: A. knife blade inserted will come out clean when custard is done. Makes 6 servings. |
