CHOCOLATE POTATO CAKE 
1/2 c. real butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. sweet milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. mashed potatoes
1/2 c. melted unsweetened chocolate

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients 3 times. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Alternate with milk. Add nuts and raisins after you have mixed them with the mashed potatoes and melted chocolate. Blend well. Grease 2 lined 8 x 8-inch pans with butter and flour lightly.

Bake for 35 minutes in 350°F oven.

This cake may be put together with chocolate fudge frosting or dust each layer with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
