BONGO BONGO SOUP 
1 pkg. frozen green peas, pureed
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
1 c. fresh oysters, pureed or minced
1/2 c. whipping cream (35% butterfat)

Prepare peas as directed on package. Drain and puree (through sieve or blender). Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Stir in milk, peas and oysters; bring to boil.

Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in cream and heat just until bubbles form around edge of pan. If desired, top with a dollop of whipped cream and broil until cream browns. Yield: 4-6 servings.
